Midnight Pups at their New Homes!
Hi Carolann
Thought I would send you another update on Iggy. He is growing so fast and has become so strong and agile just over this last week. Robb plays ball with them every afternoon and he loves to run! His personality is amazing, he is very curious and he isn’t afraid of anything. I can’t believe how quickly he adjusted to us and our home, literally 24 hours and he became part of the family. He and Knoxville have become fast friends, Iggy is constantly running up and grabbing his tail or taunting him to chase him through out the house.. it’s really cute. Have a great day! Julianne |
Hi Midnight,
Ryder is doing great! He's a happy, playful and affectionate boy. He listens very well and learns very quick. Ever since that first day when I took him home, he's always been eager to please/praise minded. (He peed on the news paper; we said 'good boy' and he was so happy/excited). Don't get me wrong. He likes his treats; our morning coffee stop isn't complete without his pup cup. In fact, the morning coffee crew (shop owners, barista and friends) know Ryder very well and get an absolute kick out the fact that he won't leave the shop anymore unless he sees the pup cup in my hand (I tease him and he knows it). That said, Ryder will do anything for a 'good boy'.
Everywhere we go he wants to be friends with anyone he meets, and they want to be friends with him too. He's a gentleman with everyone (will give his paw and a hand kiss, when asked). If we've met before, then we are already best friends. I kind of feel like he's getting too much attention here on the Island (still on Camano Island) because I've had offers/threats (all in good fun) to just steal him from me.
He's honestly the best little buddy I could ask for! As a first time dog owner, I was admittedly nervous getting a puppy. But, we figured each other out and have just grown from there.
As a health update, a couple months ago he did get neutered. Every checkup has been clean/clear. He's about 40lbs. Interestingly, since he got snipped his recall has improved dramatically. Not sure if they are related or he just suddenly got jealous of seeing the 'off leash' dogs around. In any case, I'm not complaining.
We recently started running together and he absolutely loves it. "Going for a run" and he's ready to go. His recall is so good, and his friendly disposition is such, that I trust him off leash on the runs we do.
Thank you for giving a first time dog owner a shot with one of your pups! He has changed my life!
Regards,
Patrick

Hi Carolann,
Well…this guy is SUPER outgoing and confident…from day one with how he handled the airport experience when he flew home with me to everyday outings since then. Meeting new people and checking out new environments are all great fun for him. He is wicked smart and full of spunk and personality. He has great focus, and a strong desire to please. His choice/ability to stay engaged with me for training at this tender young age despite distractions of environment, other dogs, people is amazing. He’s a winner! I love him!
Thank you, Lauri

Carolann,
Roo successfully made his first trip to California and was an absolute doll in the airport and on the plane. He quickly adapted to racetrack life; even when it was 100 degrees out (he definitely appreciated the race car trailer air conditioner)!
We slowly are starting to work on the 2 x 2 method for learning weave poles (mostly just learning to follow hand signals). He is so happy to travel and meet new people and learn new things!
Thank you so much for letting him join our family!

Carolann,
Nova's doing well and getting along great with the other 2 dogs, especially Yena (pictured) who she wrestles with like clockwork every night. I trained her to jump up into my arms, I've never had another dog that has done that before!
Thank you, D. Imms

Grady is such a sweet dog that loves giving hugs and also loves destroying stuffed animals. He has 4 goats to watch over so he spends a lot of his day running in the fields keeping an eye on things. He also gets a long great with our Australian Shepard and our cat. We love him so much! He's very spoiled.....
Thanks!

Hi Carolann,
We have had Pacha (Austin) for one year now and he is the BEST boy! We enrolled him in puppy school immediately and his confidence soared once he made other puppy friends. Eventually, the trainers had him as the "new student" greater because he is so gentle and welcoming. We still have him do weekend classes to build his growing confidence and he loves visiting the lady trainers that he grew up with.
He is such a great addition to our growing family and we look forward to our many years ahead with him. Thank you for our little boy!
Sincerely,
Phyllis, Diego & Pacha

Hi Carolann,
It's hard to believe that our little puppy girl is 1 year old today! Aoife (pronounced ee-fa) is the sweetest girl in the world! She is friendly, loves everyone, very athletic, smart, fast and the biggest cuddlebug ever :) She loves camping, hiking, the beach and playing frisbee. We are so thankful to have her in our lives. She is so sweet and caring, when one of us sneezes or coughs she comes right over to make sure we're ok and if we're just relaxing on the couch, she comes over just to say hi and give kisses.
Thank you so much for being a great breeder and giving us Aoife! - Liz and Jared C.

Hi Carolann,
I hope you’ve had a great summer and are enjoying the warm fall (despite the smoke). The girls have been doing great. Bella and Ellie get along so well together. Ellie is keeping Bella very active. It’s amazing how much they like to wrestle and of course ball and frisbee as much as they can. Ellie has turned out to be one of the sweetest Border Collies I’ve known as she loves everyone! She loves strangers walking down the street, at the dog store, anywhere and wags her tail, trying to get them to look at her and get a pat. If they happen to kneel down, they’ll get a face wash. She is the favorite at the vet too as she loves everyone. Instead of pulling to try to get back to the car, she tugs to get into the clinic to see everyone. She is always by one of our sides and doesn’t play favorites. Of course she is very athletic and fast, listens well and we love her so much and feel so fortunate and thankful to have her. Thank you so much Carolann! She really is an amazing girl. You do a wonderful job with your breeding program, love your pups!

Maisie is fantastic!! The most loving and fun puppy. She’s smarter than us so that’s interesting at times but doing so well. She’s turning into a very lovely young lady as she leaves the toddler months behind. I’ll attach a recent pic of Maisie so you can see her in her muddy element at the creek!! Thank you again for entrusting us with one of your pups. She is absolutely the best! Best Wishes, Fiona and Don Maisie ("Fawn" Dawn x Dusk)

Carolann,
It has been 3 weeks since Kona (Glacier) came home to us. He is doing well, growing, eating, learning new things each day and we have been going on outings. He is a hit with the neighborhood and has a solid fan base at mud bay, both with the staff and other shoppers who are in the store.
He has his first puppy play group next week and then will enroll in puppy kindergarten! We went on our first park walk today! People have been gushing over him as he greets them - also asking where we got him!
We just love him so much and is a perfect addition to our family. He is such a sweet and friendly boy, thank you so much for our Kona!
With grateful hearts,
Patti, Lance & Kona

Hello Carolann :)
Kip is a lovely boy! He’s just perfect for us and he’s a very happy little guy! He’s fun and lively and very affectionate, not aggressive at all. Very sociable with everyone (dogs and people) but frightened of small children, which we can’t figure out! He's quite the adventure dog but we have not pushed it, waiting til he's a bit older.
Best wishes,
Donna, Brad and Kip

Riley has been such an amazing addition to our family and I can’t even begin to tell you how thankful I am to have him! He is the sweet boy we thought he was going to be and super playful and energetic! My husband has had many dogs growing up but since we’ve had Riley I think he only wants border collies moving forward .
Thanks, Kelsey

Hello Carolann,
It’s hard to believe we’ve had Hazy for almost a year now and we are truly blessed she is such a GREAT dog and so, so smart. Tom has taken her to obedience training 1 and all she wanted to do was socialize The last few weeks of class they did a little bit of the dog trials and Tom said she was the fastest in the class and aced it after she was shown what to do. She loves people!!! Her weight at the vet was right at 30 lbs, and figure she wont get much bigger, which I think is absolutely the perfect size. We are going to our cabin this weekend and were looking forward to see how she does with the water, but now with her being spayed, will have to keep an extra close eye on her so she doesn’t get too excited. She absolutely loved the snow and loves being outside, just watching everything. She truly is a beautiful dog, we’ve gotten tons of complements. Warm regards, The Beesings, Alaska |
Carolann, Five months old, Orion, (Breeze/Dusk 21) is now 30lbs, absolutely nailing his basic obedience commands, his favorite command is “place.” His heel is coming along SO nicely, and he makes improvements on his recall every day. Im also super impressed with his confidence. Even if he gets spooked, he bounces back so quickly and we’re able to work through it.
I’m hoping to take him for his first camping trip this weekend, to prepare him for all the summer adventures coming his way. Hannah

Hi Carolann, Thank you so much for letting us have Wynn (cedar). He’s been the highlight of our days, and year. He’s currently in 3rd grade of puppy obedience and looking forward to being tested for CGC, I want to pass along compliments of his demeanor. People are usually surprised to learn that he’s 10 months old. Best, Adam & Shelby Cedar ("Wynn" Shade x Dusk) |
Carolann – Here are some pictures of Loki. Thank you again for being such a responsible breeder. Our vet and pup trainer speaks highly of your breeding practice, and I felt extremely lucky to have Loki!! He is just the most affectionate pup and loves learning new tricks. I love him so, so, so, so much. He has some best friends to run around with every day, and I am introducing him to agility and parcor courses soon.
Thank you for helping bring Loki to this world and take care!

Hi Carolann! Hope you and your family are all happy and healthy! This is an update on our little girl Breeze, your dog Dusk was the sire and Kaylin's dog Merci was the dame. She's 20 months old and just 30 lbs. although she eats half again more than Ranger and she's long and lean. I worm them both occasionally and keep their shots updated, so I think her high energy and constant movement keeps her skinny. She's all girl and quite a drama queen, when she gets upset she cries going uh-uh-uh and when she looks out the patio door and sees Ranger outside without her, she lets out a scream like a small child and races outside. They're both buddies and get along well together. Just got a shampoo, trim and pet-e-cure at Suds dog grooming. How about those big ears? Thank you, Mark |
This is our second note to you, to share our appreciation for the wonderful dogs you breed. Following our purchase of our beautiful Sophie, we purchased Kyra, a beautiful black and white short haired border collie. We have moved from a large ranch in California to a smaller farm in Lebanon Tennessee.
I have retired from my Vice Presidents role at IBM and my wife Sharon has dissolved our horse rescue to just live out the twilight years of our life.
Sophie and Kyra are such a huge part. We still have 7 horses (down from 18) and the girls go with us every where. They are so smart , loving, kind there are not enough adjectives . The one picture I text to you is with Kyra helping Sharon water the gardens we have. It is hard to put into words what these border collies mean to us. They each know literally hundreds of words, barn , truck, horse, greenie, turkey jerky (their favorite), I could go on and on.
Their energy level is extremely high and they love people and kids. They swim with us in the pool, work the barn when the horses are in and bark at 9pm as they know it is time for us old folk to go to bed. Sharon has done a fantastic job training them when I was traveling the world with IBM.
Companionship, affection, loyalty, great breeding are just some of the attributes you have brought to us Thank you.

Hi Carolann,
Can’t believe Freo will be turning 8 soon. We have loved everyday with him and Sedona. Earl and I retired to Prescott Valley, Arizona about 3 1/2 years ago and downsized to 2.35 acres. The dogs still get plenty of exercise and we get some snow but nothing like we got in Northern Nevada. Thought you would enjoy seeing a couple recent pictures. Hope all is going well and you have a healthy and happy holiday season,
Beth Wilkins

Hi, Carolann,
Sumi is doing great, very active! We love having her as part of our family. Sumi has a sunny disposition and is always up for fun. We've learned not to ignore her for too long though since she is very good at finding something to do all on her own. I'm attaching some pictures in case you'd like to see how she's turning out. As you can see in the one photo Sumi loves the Puget Sound.

Carolann – I hope this note finds you, your family, and the dogs well. Loretta is a year old. Raising a puppy during this crazy year has had its challenges. Building our locked-down lives around Loretta has been a godsend. She is incredibly smart, lovingly social, always ready to play, run, jump, walk on two legs, or sit on my shoulder while I’m working. She is amazingly athletic and the sweetest little girl. We love her so much.
Sweet Loretta was attacked by a pit bull at our local dog park. She’s ok. I was right there beating the hell out of the Pitt until he let her go. We’re making up for the loss of that exercise and socialization with long walks twice a day and an occasional visit to our vet’s daycare for ongoing socialization and play. When I called into the vet to pick her up they jokingly said “there might be a delay in her coming out…she has to stop and hug everyone before she leaves." That’s our girl!
Thank you again for everything you do for this wonderful breed.

Hi Carolann,
Thought I’d send you a quick update on Finnegan. The first photo is from about a month ago and the second is from today. Finn is doing great. He is so quirky and funny which is just what I wanted. He’s getting along well with my other dogs and is quite a snuggle bug with us. He doesn’t trust strangers or other dogs much, despite me taking him everywhere, but I hope he’ll grow out of that with time. We continue to go new places and introduce him to lots of new things. He never ceases to surprise me with his athleticism. The other day he launched himself onto a large steamer trunk with have to keep an eye on the UPS man. I was not expecting that! He’s so handsome and we love his classic markings! Thanks for a great pup. Liz

Carolann,
Paige has done amazing and is amazing. She learns something new every day. We take daily walks, trying to limit the distance as not to damage her hips before they’ve fully developed. We took her on her first trail hike last Saturday. It was a short/limited hike. I think she enjoyed it. She just needs more exposure for her to better understand what we’re asking of her on the trail. Paige loves to catch things in the air like her treats. We’ve discovered she loves baby carrots which have been quartered up and recently found that she loves bananas too! Who knows what will be next. She has become quite a Daddy’s girl as well. She adores my Husband! More pictures to come. Thank you, The Schroders |

|
Hi Carolann Since I'm not a Facebook person, I thought I'd give you an update on Turloo, aka Whately, from Dawn's October 2019 litter. He's now 6.5 months old, weighs a bit over 30 lbs, and has huge paws that suggest he'll be doing quite a bit more growing. He is the sweetest, most loving and cuddly boy and we have yet to meet anyone he doesn't like and want to play with. He is still eager to sit on my lap although he hangs over the sides unless we're on the couch. He is very fast and agile and I can't wait until I'm able to start him in agility classes. In the meantime, he leaps over swordfern, climbs on stumps, and does his darnedest to climb trees. Here he is at our apple tree, where his nemesis the squirrel hangs out. If you want to put it on your Facebook page, feel free. He is so easy to teach. He has good leash manners, comes when called, sits, lies down, and stays, drops yucky stuff (and toys) when told to, and kind of know the name of some of his toys. And finally, he is a comedian who makes us laugh all the time. He'd be a blessing at any time, but especially now we are so glad to have him. Marian |
Carolann - We picked Pearl up on the day of the worst rain the PNW had seen in over ten years. The two-hour drive home took over four. And we’ve had plenty of weather since but as Loretta Pearl approaches six months old the sunshine she has brought into our lives has more than countered the dreary wet winter.
Loretta is amazing. She is HUGE and indications are she’s not done growing yet. As you know she is the third Border Collie I’ve been lucky enough to share this life with and without a doubt she is the smartest of the three and that’s saying something. She’s loving, loyal, insanely playful, amazingly athletic and wonderfully affectionate. Always ready to chase, fetch and chew…did I say chew…her Frisbee or other toys. She’s always happy to greet guests and other dogs. Loretta has a wonderful spirit and we love her. She has completed two levels of puppy training and if this world ever gets back on its feet Loretta is going to be amazing at Agility. Can’t wait! Thank you for the care, love, experience, and integrity you bring to the breeding of this amazing breed. Ken and Myrna |

Hi Carolann,
This is Norma and Matt Kotch, we just wanted to give you an update on Yogi Bear aka Denver, son of Brook & Dusk. He has grown into a wonderful pup, he is now 1 year and 8 months, at daycare they love him, he plays so well with other dogs and loves humans, mainly girls, he is so smart, playful, happy and very handsome. We are so happy to have found such an amazing and loving dog. I have attached some pictures for you to see. Thank you, the Kotch Family. |
Hi Carolann!
I just wanted to thank you for our wonderful girl. I don't think we can express how much she's changed our lives, all for the better! It's hard to believe it's only been a year as we feel like she's been part of our family forever. We finally got her paperwork and will be competing soon in nose work, agility and fast cat! I will keep you posted on our progress! We couldn't have asked for a sweeter more loving girl than our Pixie, Thank you! J, Koppala |

Hi Carolann,
I hope everything is going well. We celebrated Gordo’s first birthday a week ago and we couldn’t love him more. He is so lovely and such a happy dog. He's super smart, loves his agility class and he has a true obsession playing fetch just like his mom and dad. He loves going on hikes and playing with his brother the cat but he's definitely not fan of baths. Gordo really brightened our lives and we we couldn’t imagine a life without him on it. M. Melchor

Hi Carolann!
We hope you had a wonderful holiday season! We just wanted to give you an update how little Jasper's doing. He has gotten so big already! He is about 22lbs now, and FULL of energy. He already has several commands under his belt. We can't wait to start taking him on hikes. We've been taking him every weekend to the lake to go swimming and he loves it! And of course he loves his daily walks too. We get stopped constantly by people who want to meet him, and he is loving all of the attention. lol We can't thank you enough for him. He is an absolute love and we are spoiling him rotten. Don't worry though, we firmly took your advice and are making sure he minds us still. We wish you all the best and hope you and your family are doing well!
Warmest Regards,
Shelby & James Rhodefer

Hi Carolann!
Winter just turned 1 in January! So I wanted to take the time to send some photos and say thank you for being so good at what you do! She really is a wonderful pup, and we couldn't be happier. She's a quick learner and so full of energy (literally could fetch the ball nonstop,) but also so so sweet. And at a whopping 36 pounds, she's a lean, mean, running machine - so petite and graceful!
Also to note, Winter really has grown to become quite the family dog! She is so great with my young nieces and nephews and sticks close by them when playing outside - it's adorable!
She definitely likes attention more than affection, but will absolutely let you know when she needs some love/hugs/kisses (we're talking, jumps right up on the bed/couch and stomps into my lap and kisses my face until I stop whatever I'm doing and give her some snuggles/pets!) She can be a demanding little lady, but we are so in love with her and she has been the perfect addition to our little family
She has a big role coming up as the ring-bearer in our wedding in June, so wish us luck that that goes well! Then our next step might have to be looking in to getting her a little brother :)
Thanks again for doing such a wonderful job and breeding such great pups! Attached are a few photos over the past year!

Happy New Year!
Just wanted to give you an update on Sansa (aka Daisy, Brook x Dusk litter) since it’s been awhile, and now she’s a year old!
I’ve been getting emails from AKC and got her registration in the mail! I think that’s pretty neat. I just want to give you a huge thank you to breeding such wonderful puppies.
Sansa is the sweetest, most carefree and loving pup I’ve ever known. She’s still a puppy, yes, so when she’s not smothering you with kisses, she’s cuddling in your lap taking a nap. Yes, IN your lap. She also gives hugs! If you bend down to her level, she’ll wrap her arms around your shoulders or neck and lay her head against yours. Absolutely melts my heart.
My husband and I moved in November, and she adjusted so extremely quick. We have a huge back yard that she enjoys so much. She still very much so loves her fur sister although Sansa dominates in size, but she knows she has to be a little more gentle with her. As I’m typing this, she’s running in circles chasing her tail and looking at me like “what mom?” She’s so goofy. I adore her!
She loves my husband so much, and she’s always doing everything she can to make us happy. She’s a doll. And she loves ice! It’s so darn cute. As soon as I open our freezer, she sprints over and sits next to me and waits ever so patiently. When I give it to her she plays with it like you would play air hockey. Constantly knocking it against the hardwood floor and chasing after it.
She also does this little thing where she’ll come over to you and lay her head against your lap or shoulder (depending on if she’s on the couch with you or not) and she just sits and waits until I kiss her nose, and she gets excited and trots off like she just won a prize. I just wanted to say thank you so much again! She’s absolutely perfect. I’m attaching a couple pictures of her too. :)

Hello,
It’s been a while sense you have heard from us. We purchased Aries aka (Ranger) from you 2 years ago. Today is his birthday and I wanted to send you an update on his life. We just recently moved to Alaska last November. Aries LOVES attention and feels like he needs constant attention no matter what. LOL He has a little big brother Indy our Chihuahua, and he recently got a new sister Aurora who is a Siberian Husky. So now he has a play mate and someone that can keep up with his energy!!! His favorite human is his dad Wesley and he strives to make his owner happy. Although he spends most time with mom and loves her just as much. He is the biggest goof ball and his personality is indescribable words don’t do justice. (I call him my big baby!) he is 70 lbs (on the bigger side yes) but very active. He LOVES THE WATER so much that he jumps off the floating dock in after his dad. He will also run in the lake just to go to the bathroom yes he pees and poops in the water... LOL CRAZIEST oddest thing I have seen. But we are SO PROUD he is our little and wouldn’t change anything about him. He is our big baby and we owe you a big thank you for such an AMAZING, LOVING, CARING, LOYAL DOG our big baby Arie bear aka Aries.

Hi Carolann, I wanted to let you know that Landon’s forever name is now Juneau. He is the most wonderful pup. We are so in love!! He traveled so easily, willingly settles right into his crate when he is tired, is super responsive and eager to learn (he is pretty much potty trained, letting us know when he needs to go out and we have already taught him to sit on command!) He is beautiful so smart, not to mention gentle and playful! We love him so much!! Thank you and happy new year! Tiffany, Jon, and Dylan |
Hi Carolann,
Thank you! I received a few emails from the AKC with Cooper’s registration receipt and certificate. He’s officially an registered AKC border collie. We can’t thank you enough for breeding and raising quality border collies. We get compliments of how handsome and beautiful coloring he has and the cute freckles! He is such a friendly guy! Lol sometimes a little too friendly and curious one too, showing us what a very smart boy he is. He knows that he is part of the family and knows he welled loved by us and shows us his love for us in return. Cooper is so funny he knows how to communicate and ask us something by stroking his paws on us. Just wondering what does Dusk weigh and if he is going to be like his dad? Cooper does has his mom Brooks high energy for sure. Sending you a picture of Cooper ready for the holidays with his reindeer antlers! Thanks again and have a happy holiday to you and family! Joyce |

Hello!
Just wanted to give you an update on Toby. It has been a busy few days but everything you recommended for us to do is working. His wonderful sweet personality is shining through. He is adjusting to his new environment as we are adjusting to his needs. He really is low maintenance as long as he gets his hugs, kisses and pets. Although still adjusting to his puppy food ( same brand as yours) he is doing great. We took him to Fred Meyer today to get edging for our garden area and he brought smiles to a lot of people. Amazing the way a dog touches someone's heart and opens the door for us to connect with them even for just a few moments. He responded well to everyone. We love him dearly and feel very blessed to have him.

Hi Carolann!
Sharing some pictures of Cooper aka Dusty from your Dusk x Brook litter!
We are so blessed and a joy to have such a wonderful addition to our family! We are so amazed that Cooper is a smart intelligent boy, a fast learner, hilariously funny, he has learned so many tricks and is so eager to learn more. Cooper surprises us sometimes! We took him to a few road trips to Oregon and adventures as far as Whistler Canada a few weeks ago plus more places in California to go this summers RV road trip we have planned! Hopefully we can send you more pics of Cooper to see how much he has grown.
Everyone we meet compliments Cooper that he is so adorable and a very cute guy! We think that very much too and he is a sweet loving boy!!! We thank you very much for sharing Cooper to us!
Warm wishes to you and your family!

Hi Carolann,
I just wanted to give you a quick update on Scout. We took your advice and had a changed dog within three days. He is so sweet, calm, and responsive. We have definitely been on a learning curve and so appreciate your help! I think we have hit a sweet little spot as he is now comfortable in a variety of situations, loves strangers, is willing to meet other dogs, and has many commands under his belt. Next week he is starting a day camp where he will spend about four hours a day learning some more advanced commands. So we’ll probably hit another learning curve, but we think he’s ready for a little stimulation/challenge.
We are so thankful for our furry little guy.
Thanks again!!
Teri

Hello Carolann!
Thought it was about time we gave you an update on our Miss Mabel! She is doing fantastic, she is mellow and spunky all at once. Everyone we meet comments on how sweet and gentle she is, and of course on her blue eyes! She can already keep up with the big dogs when playing, and she is definitely keeping our older golden retriever young and spry.
She is a lake dog already (not loving the water quite yet), but she hangs out on the boat with us, and we will make a water dog of her yet. She is incredibly curious, always watching and exploring. It's been so great watching her learn and grow.
The last photo is of Mabel and her big brother Cash, they met the week we brought Mabel home and loved each other instantly. It is really sweet watching them together.
We can't thank you enough for this amazing puppy! More updates to come :)

Hi Carolann,
We just wanted to give you an update on Baron (aka Parker from Mist × Storm litter). Baron is almost 7 months now and oh so smart! His curiosity and energy has been a great addition to our family! Baron's favorite activites include hiking, playing ball and catching frisbees out of the air. Though he is incredibly active, he also has a very sweet and mellow side. I look forward to my licks and snuggles everyday. Baron is loved soo much! Here are a few photos from our recent trip to Banff and Jasper National Park in Canada.

Hi Carolann,
We just put down another deposit and wanted to send you some photos of Yeti. Yeti is from Tide and Storm's litter, born on 2/11/2016. He is truly amazing and has changed our lives in such a positive way after we lost our last border, Skye! Yeti is super sweet, loves to cuddle, play frisbee, eat, and go with us everywhere. He is really food motivated which makes him super easy to work with. He's very chill and relaxed, gets on with all of the other dogs in our local dog park and gets to go to work with me about once a week. Thanks for such a great companion! P. Murray |

Hi!!! Just wanted to send you a quick message and a few pictures of Crash aka Marco from the Rein Storm litter. He has been such a blessing and we adore him. Below are a few pictures I took today of him patrolling the property and cuddling with his boy.

Hello Carolann, Kira (Storm and Tide) is doing fantastic. She is almost 8 months and she gets tons of praise for her beautiful colouring! She loves to explore and be off leash. Hey Carolann, I could not have asked for a better little girl than this doll. Piper has fallen in love with the snow and Alaska. She's growing more and more each day and can't wait to take her on more adventures throughout my Air Force career. Thank you so much for this little angel, Casey |

Carolann,
Here are some recent photos of Cash (aka Mikey). He is settling into his home and is getting so tall! He is loving his walks and puppy socialization class, and is already running circles around the other dogs. He has mastered sit and lie down and is eager to learn more.
He continues to be the most chill dog, and adores meeting new people. People can't stop commenting on his sweet disposition and we have been told many times that he would make a great therapy dog. He continues to melt hearts with his big blue eyes.
Thanks so much,
Amy and Kyle

Hi Carolann,
Happy National dog day to you. We've officially had Story over 1 year! Hard to believe we adopted her from you on 4th of July weekend last year...where does the time go 😱
In one year with us, she has truly blossomed. Jason took her camping this August to Banff National Park and all around Canada. She has turned into the best travel buddy and is the center of our world. Here are some pics! Thank you again for homing her to us, we 3 are a match made in heaven.

Carolann,
Lucy is so wonderful (and photogenic). She is very sweet, always tries to please, and we love her so much. She is a great partner for beach walks. At 5 months she weighs about 25 pounds, so looks like she will be small, but I think her personality is mostly Storm.
Thanks,
Bev

Hi Carolann.
I just wanted to send you a quick update on our wonderful “puppy” Wilson. His name was actually Waylon when we got him from you last summer, but we decided on Wilson. Wilson is a little over a year now, and he is SUCH A FANTASTIC dog, member of our family, and best friend to my two young sons. We are so thankful that Wilson “came to us” and he gets a ton of love, exercise, and attention every day We figured it would make you happy to hear that another one of your sweet puppies has found a good home. All the best, Jacob |
Good Morning Carolann, I can not believe that out little Mazie will be 4 months old tomorrow. Just wanted to share these pictures with you. She is doing so great. She is as smart as a whip and a little spit fire. She has no boundaries as far as she is concerned. We love her so very much and can not thank you enough for entrusting her to us as she grows more beautiful every day. We are having so much fun together in her training. I love that she came to us as a pup to be able to shape her to be an amazing little girl. Bless you and yours today and always, K. Long |

Carolann,
I just thought I'd let you know how Miss Rosemary is doing. First off, she is the most perfect border collie ever. She is sooo maternal, loves to please and outsmarts me most of the time. She excels at training, I could go on all day! She gets to spend her days with her half brother, Zephyer, and they love each other so much. They are both amazing dogs. I will update you again when she is full grown! Thank you so much, K. Green |
Carolann,
I was looking at your web page on "Midnight Pups Growing Up" and I wanted to send this photo of my wife, Sharon, and our beloved Sophia on our ranch in Angels Camp. Sophia was our 5th border collie, but first from you. No comparison, she is the smartest, sweetest, most intelligent dog we have ever had. We look forward to our second one from you. It is so obvious the time, love and breeding you put into your dogs. She goes everywhere with us from horseback rides to trips. Thank you from the Sorce Family. |
Sophia (Brook x Storm) |
Carolann, This is a photo of our sweet, beautiful puppy Beau, who came from Midnight Border Collies in Washington State. This dog *loves* children, mud, me, Tim and pretty much everyone he meets. He's a serious athlete and attentive companion. We just *adore* him. And of course, he's not just cute, he's gentle and sweet. Thank you, Sara from Vermont |

Dolly Parton (Rein x Storm) and Knoxville (Brook x Storm) |
Carolann, Knoxville has grown so much and has quite the personality. He is very sweet but also mischievous and sassy which has been both adorable and challenging! He has settled down into our house nicely but still puxhes his boundaries and, on occasion, gets knocked down a notch by Dolly and Blu. We love him so much! Thanks, Julianne |
Storm (River x Storm)
Carolann,
I have to say thank you again for this amazing, and I have to say absolutely gorgeous boy. He is definitely so smart and entertaining with his antics. He is 100% crate trained and does wonderfully at night, potty training is going great, we haven't had an accident in about a week. Storm already learned sit, lay down, roll over, leave it, come, stay and my favorite give me a hi 5, which is adorable. He has settled in nicely and I am hoping to start puppy classes since the nice weather has finally arrived. Eventually we would love to put Storm in agility classes because I feel he would do wonderfully, and I think he would really enjoy it. He is absolutely wonderful with my kids; especially the little ones. When they're upset it's like Storm know this and goes to comfort them. If he does so much at only 13 weeks I can't wait to see him when he's older, he's already our best friend and we get compliments everywhere we go.
Thanks, Catherine (New York)

Kylie (Brook x Storm)
Hi Carolann,
I wanted to send you an update on Kylie, aka my constant companion. Kylie is almost 7 months old and doing great as an urban Border Collie! She's weighing just a tad over 25 pounds, so she may end up on the smaller side, which is just fine (not sure what Brook or Storm weighed at her age). Her energy level is amazing, but she has an off-switch - a great mix of Brook and Storm! A fast learner, she can pick up a new trick in about 5 minutes, and has quite the repertoire - the basics plus some fancy party tricks too. Her ability to jump and leap astounds me, and I'm looking forward to getting her into agility soon.
She and our cat have been fast friends since day one, and she's become a great office-mate for me, she likes to curl up and sleep in my office after her morning walk/urban hike, as well as for her afternoon siesta.
And, speaking of walks, she and I are the intrepid explorers of the 120 public stairways in our very-hilly Seattle neighborhood. We have a map and are marking them off as we go. A walk isn't a walk without a few hundred stairs or more :)
I've attached a couple of pictures from today - one at a park near our house, the other at one of our favorite staircases that dates to 1905. Happy New Year!
Butters (River x Storm)
Carolann!
Butters came home one month ago today, and she's an absolute joy. We go to the beach everyday where she gets to frolic with all of her dog friends. Today she swam for the first time - by accident. She got excited by another dog down the beach and crossed the creek at a particularly deep spot. She's clearly a natural, though! She crossed without any problem. Also, she's actually great with the two senior cats, she's quite respectful of their space. I've attached a few pictures from last week.
Thanks a million and good luck with those new puppies!

Harley (Fable x Storm)
Hi Carolann,
Since it's been about a year that we brought Harley home so I thought I would provide you a quick update and a few photos. He has been such an incredible joy to us and exceeded my expectations in every way possible. He is 100% a "puppy brother" to our five year old son Ryan. The pictures are from a recent trip to my parents' cottage on Lopez Island. We also just returned from a trip to Victoria where at Butchart Gardens we couldn't walk three feet without someone wanting to pet him and admire himn for his striking looks. He is so great with kids and is getting plenty of activity through training, days at puppy daycare and walks around the neighborhood. Thanks again for our amazing puppy dog!!!

Duncan (River x Storm)
Hi Carolann!
I hope you had a Merry Christmas! Congrats on your latest litters! I thought I'd share that Duncan is doing very well. His potty training is going so great, he already knows where to go in the yard. He is so much fun and our kids adore him. He already knows not to jump on our 2 year old and he sits and lets her pet him as she tells him stories, it's hilarious, he's so smart! We are really enjoying him, thank you again!
